STONE ANGEL THROW BACK

It was a bitter sweet morning installing this hand carved angel onto the entryway of this residence. Owner and Stone Carver, Ryan Watson (above) spent almost as much time carving out her delicate facial expression as he did on an entire wing. Watson's goal was for her to look loving and peaceful yet proud to take watch over her home. There's nothing like getting a carving out of the shop and into the suns different ranges of cross lighting.  Her face lights up in different ways depending on the time of day.  This is one you need to see in person at the 700th block of Queen Street at 7th Avenue in Saskatoon, SK.
