Above are some of the chisels Ryan Watson bought while working with Walter S. Arnold on the Chicago Board of Trade building. These tools predate the depression of 1929, most of which have the carvers names punched right into them from over 80 years ago!
With our latest carving complete (see previous blog), Watson's onto the next project. This one will be the signage for the new Timber Pointe building on Queen Street and 3rd Ave in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Watson predicts it will take at least 50 hours of hand carved detail and will stand over 7 feet tall. Stay tuned for progress pics and follow us on facebook and twitter!

We're so excited to bring this carving to it's permanent home this Spring where it will mark the address of its residence on University Drive in Saskatoon. Here you see Ryan Watson putting the final touches to the hand carved oak foliage. This 600 pound piece of Indiana Limestone will be incorporated into the homes landscaping creating an eye opening first and lasting impression. For more pictures of this beauty check out our photo gallery on the Carving page.
