![]() Ryan Watson was born and raised in Saskatoon, is a prairie boy to the core and a natural born artist in a trade that dates back to the beginning of civilization. In 2000 Watson received a Diploma in Heritage and Traditional Masonry and Restoration from Ontario. After graduation he formed a masonry business specializing in hand carved stone detail. In 2010 Ryan was awarded a Heritage Award from the City of Saskatoon for his hand carved stone restoration work on the King George Hotel. Today, Watson continues to run a successful masonry business, Rocco Masons. His hand carved stone work adorns buildings and homes throughout Saskatoon through to Chicago. Watson continues to keep history alive in Saskatoon by playing a creative role in designing the facades on homes and buildings; inside and out, using the most modern tools to promote the oldest trade.
