NEXT: HAND CARVED FIREPLACE SURROUND

Owner and Stone Carver, Ryan Watson is gearing up for Rocco Masons next hand carved stone project. After many consultations with the home owner, Watson came up with a design that once complete, will be the ultimate focal point for this homes family room.  

Here you see the design stage, stone measurements and calculations on paper.  Each piece of limestone will be hand carved using the traditional tools of the trade. Most of Watson's tools predate the depression of 1929, most of which have the carvers names punched right into them from over 80 years ago! 

​From these calculations above, Watson will determine how much limestone will be required so the fabrication of this limestone fireplace surround can begin. Stay tuned for a time lapse video of Watson's stone carving in action and be sure to follow our work on facebook.
